Frequently Asked Questions

How Do I Get to the Church?
RRUMC is located at 1652 Abrazo Rd. SE in Rio Rancho, NM 87124 on Abrazo Road, just west of Unser Boulevard between Southern Boulevard and Northern Boulevard. Enter through the glass doors at the center. The sanctuary is straight ahead. The nursery and children’s classrooms are down the corridor to your right. The fellowship hall and adult class rooms are down the corridor to your left. See ‘Contact Us’ link for map.

How Should I Dress?
While some folks like to wear their "Sunday Best" to worship on Sunday mornings, many wear comfortable and casual clothes. Everyone wears comfortable and casual clothes to our Wednesday night activities.

When Should I Get There?
Our Sunday morning worship service is at 10:00 am.  It is best to arrive about 5 to 10 minutes ahead of time to allow for parking.  Sunday morning Bible Study classes begin at 8:45 am & 9 am. To get to know our church family better, please join us for fellowship and refreshments after the weekly church service.

What About my Children?
Rio Rancho UMC has fabulous preschool, children, and youth ministry programming. Children aged 5 and under are welcome in our professionally staffed nursery during the worship services and Sunday school time. Children are welcome in the worship service. Children’s Sunday school class is held at 10 am, during the worship service. Our youth group meets from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. most Sunday evenings for a snack supper, games, fellowship, and Bible studies. Everyone who works in our preschool, children, and youth ministries has received United Methodist Safe Sanctuaries training and passed background checks.
